First Aid Training
At Canadian Outdoor Med, we specialize in outdoor programs like first aid training and risk management programs for professional organizations in BC. We believe outdoor professionals, such as guides, search and rescue members and ski and bike patrollers, deserve training delivered in the environment they work in by experienced and knowledgeable instructors.
Our Professional Outdoor First Aid training division offers an “a la carte” version of first aid education by providing your organization with exactly what it needs, and more. We currently offer directly or in partnership the following curriculums – WAFA/AWFA, WFA, WFR, OEC, OFAIII, and CPR.
We also offer 2-4h training clinics on specific topics, including the recent recommendations for PPE use for rescuers. In a blend of online and face-to-face clinics, we promise to deliver a memorable training experience to your group.
Risk Management
Through our network of specialized professionals, including insurance brokers, legal advisors, medical experts, and mountain guides, we provide tailored risk management support. Our services encompass emergency response plan development, on-site evaluations, documentation systems, liability waivers, and insurance coordination.
Event Services
While we’re committed to elevating safety standards for participants across diverse events, outdoor sports medicine is where we truly excel. Our portfolio includes medical support for Spartan competitions, the Canadian Enduro National Series, Revelstoke Women’s Enduro, Whistler 50, Whistler Half Marathon, and Loggers Sports, among many others.
